You can delete your account and the data tied to it at any time. There are two ways.
This page applies to the PockIQ app (package com.pockiq.app on Google Play and the App Store).
Option 1 — Delete in the app
- Sign in to the app.
- Open Settings and scroll to Delete account.
- Tap Delete account, type the confirmation phrase shown on screen, then confirm.
Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.
Option 2 — Delete on the web (without the app)
Sign in with the exact account you want to delete, then open Settings → Delete account and confirm. If you forgot your password, use “Forgot password” on the sign-in page to regain access first.
To protect accounts, we do not delete an account on request by email: deletion must always be done by the owner while signed in.
What gets deleted
- Your expenses, categories, budgets and settings.
- Assets, debts and loans you recorded.
- The profile photo you uploaded.
- The sign-in account itself (email, Google or Apple).
Data that may be kept
Deleting your account removes the data in our own systems (above). Some technical and billing records live with third-party services and are not removed at the same moment; they do not contain your expenses, notes or the amounts you entered:
- Premium subscription history (RevenueCat): user ID, plan, purchase and renewal dates — kept to reconcile payments and meet legal obligations, for the period set by that service.
- Anonymous usage events (PostHog): event names and technical properties tied to your user ID, with no email, amounts or notes — kept according to the service plan, for up to 7 years.
- Crash and performance reports (Sentry): technical error details — kept for up to 90 days.
- Receipts and payment history held by Google Play or the App Store under their own policies; we cannot delete these.
Premium subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Cancel it in Google Play or the App Store first so you are not charged for renewal.
